Yiru Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests center on econometrics, time series, and empirical macroeconomics. Her recent work has focused on several topics, including local projections in unstable environments with applications to fiscal policy, monetary policy, and the Phillips curve. She has also conducted research on high-dimensional panel data with latent group structures in the presence of non-stationarities and instabilities.
She received her PhD in Economics from the Pompeu Fabra University. She also holds an MSc in Economics and Finance from the Barcelona School of Economics and a BSc in Finance from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
