Three faculty publish lead article in September 2022 American Economic Review

Three of Pitt's economics faculty have authored the lead article in the September 2022 issue of American Economic Review.  “Belief Elicitation and Behavioral Incentive Compatibility," by David Danz, Lise Vesterlund, and Alistair Wilson, is representative of not only the department's scholarly output but also its culture of collaboration.

Dr. Stefania Albanesi Testifies at US House Budget Committee

Dr. Stefania Albanesi, Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, was invited to testify to the United States Congress in a hearing on March 16 for the House Budget Committee on the effect of the pandemic on women's employment and prospects going forward. This prestigious invitation was an important contribution from the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Economics to the American public.
