Welcome to 7 New Faculty

The Economics Department would like to welcome our 7 new faculty members.

Eric Donald, Assistant Professor of Economics
Prior to joining Pitt in 2024, he received his PhD from Boston University and his BS from Texas Christian University. His research interests are in macro, public, and environmental economics.

George Nwaogu, Teaching Associate Professor
George received his Ph.D. from Western Michigan University and his bachelor’s degree from University of Botswana. His publications have appeared in Journal of Housing Economics, Review of Development Economics, The World Economy and Journal of Economic Insight. Prior to joining the department, George taught at Central College.

Lucy Page, Assistant Professor
Her research is broadly in environmental economics, with lines of work focusing on collective action on climate change and on payments for ecosystem services.  ucy received her PhD in economics from MIT and her BA from Williams College. Prior to joining Pitt, she is a post-doctoral fellow at Inclusion Economics at Yale University.

Colin Sullivan, Assistant Professor
Colin uses experiments to study labor markets, organ markets, and other matching markets. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, he was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. He received his PhD in Applied Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Taylor Weidman,  Assistant Teaching Professor
Research interests in Political Economy, Public Economics, Behavioral Economics, Experimental Economics, Urban Economics

Yu Fu Wong, Assistant Professor
He works on economic theory, with a focus on information economics in dynamic settings. Before joining Pitt, Wong received a PhD in Economics from Columbia University and worked at the University of Warwick.

Beixi Zhou, Assistant Professor
She works on microeconomic theory, with a focus on dynamic games. Before joining Pitt, she received her PhD in Economics from Boston University.
