Professor James H. Cassing is Professor of Economics (Emeritus) at the University of Pittsburgh. He works in the general areas of International Trade Theory and Policy, and in Development Economics. He has written numerous articles in various scholarly journals (AER, JPE, QJE, EJ, etc.), research monographs, chapters in books, and research reports. Professor Cassing has been a visiting research professor at Universities in Europe, Asia, and at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. He has also served as an advisor to governments in Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, some southern African countries, and Vietnam.
